• Pampering Mom To Be

Dad has been really on edge lately. But in a good way…as long as you’re not in HIS way. He’s been pampering mom to be to the point where he’s been driving her crazy. If you don’t know by now, I’m going to be a big sister to a baby brother soon. I can’t tell you how excited I am!

I always wanted to be a big sister. It has its perks. You get to boss him around, train him to do your errands, have him pick up the mess around the house when you just need to chill. Better than having a puppy. LOL Okay, I’m just kidding. But, a girl can dream, right?

Being a big sister also has its responsibilities. I know this. But, besides the reasons I just stated, it would be cool to have another person in this big house. It’s one of the reasons I always tried to encourage Dad to date again.

Who knew it would take two trips to First Century Jerusalem to motivate him?

But, I digress.

Yes, Mom and Dad are expecting. Dad is driving Mom crazy by clinging all over her. Mom says she needs a break from Dad. They squabble sometimes but it’s so cute. They start off the debate really intense and then after it hits its peak, they turn their backs for a few seconds. Then they face each other and smile, hug and tell each other how much they love one another.

I realize some of you right now want to stick your fingers down your throats. I get it. I did it the first few times. Then I realized they do truly love each other. And I waited a long time to see Dad happy. And he is!

Mom is excited too despite Dad overwhelming her. She told me she always dreamed of being a mother. I told her she will now have two to worry about. She smiled and said she couldn’t think of a better way to live her life. I guess that’s a parent thing going on there.

Mom has already said I can babysit too to give her a break.

Can you say Cha Ching?

Mom rolled her eyes when I gave her the cash sign.

So the Stewart house is alive and well. I’m enjoying college too. I do like studying history but I enjoyed it much more when I was living it.

Maybe someday I can live it again.

I don’t say that out loud in front of Dad. I know Dad would ground me for life. He has enough worries with the baby coming.

The baby is supposed to arrive on October 14th. They’re still talking about names.

Would love to hear your suggestions.

Should I tell my brother about my trips when he is older?

Anyway, got to run. I hear Mom and Dad grumbling downstairs about me leaving my cups and plates around. Hey, I’m in college. I need to chill too.

Talk soon.
